Available for sale from Big Sky Fine Art in the English county of Dorset, this original mixed media artwork is by an unidentified artist. Of the African School it dates from the second half of the 20th Century. The artwork is signed indistinctly lower right. The artwork has been created on a sheet of plywood and is now presented and supplied in a black contemporary frame (which is shown in these photographs), mounted using conservation materials and behind non-reflective Tru Vue UltraVue® UV70 glass.
This piece is in superb condition. It wants for nothing and is supplied ready to hang and display.

Whilst we have as yet not been unable to identify the artist of this piece it is clearly someone who is both professional and highly accomplished. The image is a wonderful one; it speaks of a woman who is beautiful, successful and loved. The decorated pot she holds shows she is a provider for her family, the child she carries on her left hip is alert and well-nourished. We are aware of the bond of love and trust between mother and child. The woman is semi-naked, proud and completely at ease with herself. She is wearing a necklace and her face is decorated; she is proud and takes care of herself. This entire image speaks of a beauty, a pride and a competence that we all aspire to. The palette used, with its warm bronze tones perfectly capture the rich earthy essence of the subjects. It is a truly stunning piece.
