This antique drawing is in very good condition, commensurate with its age. It wants for nothing and is supplied ready to hang and display.
The drawing is signed lower right A. Muller. The drawing came from a portfolio of drawings by the same hand, some were signed Alb. Muller.

This original mid-19th century drawing by German artist Alb. Muller is a finely executed academic study of a standing male nude, rendered in pencil and charcoal on paper. Signed “A. Muller” in the lower right section, the work reflects the disciplined approach of nineteenth-century European art academies, where mastery of anatomy and light was central to artistic training.
The male figure is portrayed with a contemplative expression, his pose natural and unidealised, demonstrating Muller’s skill in capturing the subtleties of human form and gesture. The artist’s controlled shading and sensitive linework give the study a remarkable sense of depth and realism.
This impressive decorative drawing is ideal for collectors of academic figure studies, 19th-century German art, and classical life drawings.
